Friday 17th July 2020 – Goodbye and Good Luck to our Year 6 pupils:

Filed under: Whole School @ 9:50 am

It’s the time of year again when we all feel a little bit sad as we say goodbye to our Y6 pupils as they prepare to move on to their new schools in September.

I sincerely hope your child has enjoyed their four years at Bishop’s Waltham Junior School and are leaving with so many amazing memories – ones that will hopefully last a lifetime.  They have been a delightful year group, and it has been a real privilege watching them mature and thrive during their time with us.  They have entirely embodied our school values and embraced all the opportunities that have been provided to them.  The school staff are incredibly proud and complimentary of every Y6 pupil.

It has most definitely not been an average final year at junior school – but it is one that the pupils (and parents) will most definitely remember.

On behalf of the staff and governors at BWJS, I would like to thank the Y6 parents for the constant support you have shown us over the years and for choosing to send your beautiful children to our school.  They are a real credit to you.

Message to the Y6 pupils:

Good luck in the future.  Remember to work hard and fully immerse yourself in all that secondary school life has to offer.  You are all ready for the next chapter in your life, and we wish you all every success in the world.

I shall leave you with 3 of my favourite quotes.

“Teachers can open the door, but you must enter it yourself.” — Chinese proverb

“In a world where you can be anything, be kind.” — Jennifer Dukes Lee

“A person who never made a mistake never tried anything new.” — Albert Einstein

Stay safe, keep smiling.

Mr D Campbell
