Wednesday 22nd April 2020 – Birch Class Update

Hello again, everyone.

It’s the middle of the week, and I’ve seen some great home learning being done.

Like every year group, we’re setting some English and maths tasks to be done each week. This week’s reading task involved finding synonyms and antonyms for words in books we are reading at home; it was nice to see a variety of approaches being taken by Mite, Sam and Emily here.

This week’s geography task was to begin researching a chosen country. This ties in the work we would have been doing in school on ‘Kensuke’s Kingdom’. Again, it’s great to see a variety of countries being chosen and a variety of formats being used.

Away from our set tasks, Delilah has created an art picture in the style of Andy Goldsworthy.

Finally, Mrs Mars set Year 6 a ‘Spring Chicken’ challenge over the Easter holidays. I didn’t get this in time for Monday, but – as you can see below – Sophie had a lot of fun with this!

I’m looking forward to hearing and seeing more of your news as the week goes on. In the meantime, take care!
