Year 3 Visit to Bishop’s Waltham Library

On Friday, children from Year 3 visited Bishop’s Waltham Library as part of our school initiative to encourage a love of books and reading. The children found out what types of books are available in the library, how long they could keep them for and how many books they could take out at the same time. Some children were issued with a new library card and those with a card were able to choose a book to borrow.

One of the librarians read a lovely story to the children called ‘Wanted! Ralfy Rabbit, Book Burglar’ by Emily MacKenzie, which was about a naughty rabbit who loved reading so much that he stole books!

The children behaved impeccably and were complimented on their behaved by the library staff. As they left, the children were all given a sticker and a book bag.

Thank you to the library for a lovely visit and well done Year 3 for representing Bishop’s Waltham Junior School so well!
