Friday 20th October 2017 – Year 3 Bronze Age workshop

Year 3 had a great morning learning about the Bronze Age to help support their history topic. The children took part in a workshop which was run by Paul Nolan, an established children’s author and ex-deputy head teacher. They took part in lots of different activities such as moving stones to help build Stonehenge, dressing up in Bronze Age clothes and learning how to make bronze. They then used this knowledge to help write a story set in the Bronze Age, using authentic Bronze Age artefacts for inspiration! Paul also kindly signed some of his books for the whole school to buy at break time – it was very exciting to have an author in school and to buy these books from him!
