Wednesday 12th June 2013 – Transfer Day/Open Afternoon:

Filed under: Whole School @ 11:53 am

On the morning of Thursday 4th July – all pupils will spend time in their new classes. They will have the opportunity to get to know their new teacher as well as gain a small insight about the year ahead.

On the afternoon of Thursday 4th July (2.45-5.00pm), all parents/grand-parents etc. are welcome to come into school and visit all of the classrooms. Each room will display a selection of work that has been produced by the pupils over the course of the year. It will provide parents with an opportunity to view pupils work (from across the school), speak to their child’s class-teacher (if they so wish) and even visit the classroom (and meet the teacher) their child will be in from September. There will also be a wide range of ART WORK displayed in and around the school grounds. Please take the time to have a good look around to witness, first hand, the creative talent we have at BWJS.

IT WOULD BE LOVELY TO SEE LOTS OF PARENTS/CARERS ATTENDING.

Please note: For pupils moving into Y4/5/6 we do NOT hold a formal parent presentation evening, as over the years the number of attendees declined significantly. Instead, teachers (from each year group) will be sending home a PARENT BRIEFING/WELCOME PACK. The pack will contain all of the information regarding the new academic year – Including, staffing, timetabling, curriculum topics, homework, educational visits, expectations etc.

Obviously, if after reading the briefing pack you would like to speak to your child’s new class-teacher, please do get in touch and every effort will be made to arrange a mutually convenient time.
