Monday 18th February 2013 – Celebration Assembly

Filed under: Whole School @ 12:05 pm

Mr Campbell started our celebration assembly this morning by welcoming all the many parents who had come in to see their child receive a certificate. Children, staff and parents then stood and beautifully sang “Refuge”.

Mrs Daniels presented Quiz certificates to Amy, Beth, Matthew, Lucy, Alfie and Chloe.  Team merit certificates were then presented to Abby, Ben, Harry, Ciara, Richard, Rose, Abby and Lucy (50 merits), Charlotte, Carl, Cerys, Mia, Zahra and Helena (100 merits) and Millie who received her certificate for 200 merits.

Mrs Carter then presented Wow Wall certificates to Nathan, Charlie, Isabella, Ciara, Zachary, Beth, Jennifer, Joseph, Nathan, Bradley, Naomi, Lydia and Leah.

Swimming Gala certificates were presented to Sophie, Rose, Lydia, Leah, Amy, Alex, Jacob, Fergus, Emily, Hollie, Bea, Lauren, Daniel, Ben Rory, Tom, Ben and Freddie.  Music certificates were presented to Isaac and Ben for their progress in trumpet.

Mrs Rye read a letter from the NSPCC congratulating our school for raising £72.59.  This money was raised during our Anti-bullying week when our school councillors did a stall for childline.

Team merit results: 1st – Tigers (188), 2nd – Leopards (172), 3rd – Pumas (166) and 4th – Lions (143).

This week’s Value of the Week has been for showing respect and certificates were awarded to Lauren, Rose, Orla, Daisy, Victoria, Nathan, Lucy and Emily.

Miss Peamain told the children that she had received an email from Simon of Kwik Cricket and he had praised all the children for brilliantly taking part in the taster sessions.  He said that our school was one of the best he has been too.

Congratulations to all the children who received a certificate in assembly this morning.
