Friday 13th July 2012 – Celebration Assembly

Mrs Zillwood took our Celebration Assembly this morning and started by telling the children how lovely it was for her to be taking assembly after a long time.  She also commented on how the children had all grown!

50 Team Merit certificates were awarded to Hayden, Joe, Jake and Matthew.  100 Team Merit certificates went to Abbie, Matthew, Eve, Abby, Jamie and Kacey. 150 Team Merit certificates went to Ciara, Briony, Katy, Bradley, Jake and Gemma. A 200 Team Merit certificate was awarded Holly G and a 450 Team Merit certificate Millie.

Karate certificates were presented to Isaac (8kyu), Flynn and Josh (7kyu) and Jamie and Brandon (3kyu).  Chelsea Football Club medals were presented to Aimee and Tommy.  Millie proudly showed a trophy she received for coming 2nd in a County Swimming competition.  Staff and children then went on to sing ‘The Tongue’.  Music certificates were awarded to Kirsten, Ellen and Izzy (keyboard), Tim (saxophone stage 3), Jake (saxophone introductory stage), Izzy, Abbie and Eve (flute stage 2).

Reading at Home certifcates were given to Kian and Nathan (10 hours), Rose (50 hours), Jake (80 hours), and Isabell (190 hours).  A pen passport awarded to Jack and a Young Citizens award was presented to Ciara.

This week’s Value of the Week was creativity.  Winners were Adam and Katie (Redwood), the whole class (Tamarind), Jaisal (Gingko), Brandon (Jackalberry), Katy and Libby (Hawthorn), Alice (Eucalyptus) who won the cup, Daisy (Maple) and Kai (Cedar).

Mrs Peach presented certificates to Izzy, Mathew, Jamie, Jamie, Jake, Sam, Jake, Luke, Phoebe, Matthew, Kirsten, Tim, Matthew, Hope, Joe and Katie Ellen for taking part in the Green Goblin race day at Goodwood.

Team merit results: 1st – Pumas, 2nd – Tigers, 3rd – Leopards and 4th – Lions.

Well done to all the children who received a certificate in assembly this morning.  I would like to end my last assembly report of the academic year by congratulating Year 6 for an amazing performance of Robin Hood.
