Friday 18th May 2012 – Celebration Assembly

Filed under: Whole School @ 1:24 pm

We started our Celebration Assembly this morning by Jake bravely performing a piece of music on the piano.

Mrs Daniels then went on to present the achievement certificates.

Reading at Home certificates went to Kia (10 hours), Daisy (20 hours) and Ben (100 hours).  Staff and children then sang ‘Lovely Summer’s Day’.

Team merit certificates were awarded to Scott R, Kian L, and Elspeth R (50), Olivia and Sheridan (100), Helena (150) and Millie (400).

Miss Peamain’s Mathematician of the Week was Annabel.  Sama Karate Certificates of merit went to  Joshua and Charlotte.  Music Certificates of Achievement for playing the keyboard were awarded to Chloe, Joseph and Jennifer.

This week’s value of the week was respect.  Our winners were Kai (Cedar), Amy (Jackalberry, who won the cup) and Beth (Maple).

Redwood and Tamarind were awarded the value of the week as the whole of Year 5 for showing total respect during a school trip to the River Lymington.

Freddie and Millie told all the children about their sponsored walk on the Isle of Wight. They did this walk in air of a Hospice. Freddie walked 4 miles and Mille walked 14 miles dressed in a pink grass skirt. They had a lovely day, but got sunburnt.
