Friday 10th June 2011 – Celebration Assembly

Filed under: Whole School @ 4:08 pm

Mrs Marsh started our celebration this morning by complimenting the children on how well they came into assembly.  She went on to point out that the lunchtime staff have been pleased with the children’s chair stacking and general behaviour, especially when we had torrential rain on Thursday and all the children had to get back into school quickly.  Two little reminders – when the hooter blows at lunchtime and break time all children must go to the millennium classroom. and if you get injured at lunchtime or break time please go to the adults on duty.

Reading at Home certificates were presented to Ciara and Lewis (5 hours), Matthew, Penny and Kirsten (20 hours), Izzy (50 hours), Molly (80 hours), Jake (100 hours) Hope and Luke (130 hours), Annabel (150) and Jake (190 hours).  Natasha proudly showed the two medals and certificate that she received from the Sportshall League Girls “A” team.  Great Plant Hunt Pupil of the Week was awarded to Ellen and .  Worldclass Pupil of the Week was awarded to Katie.  Bella received a music certificate for playing the trumpet (stage 1).

Merit Awards were presented to Phoebe, Oakley and Kirsten (50), Daisy Mae (100) and Amy (150).

This week’s Value of the Week was kindness.  Our winners were Rose (Jackalberry) Sam (Hawthorn), Breanna (Eucalyptus), Penny (Tamarind), Kirsten (Redwood) and Mia (Gingko) who won the cup.

We finished assembly by singing “Give It All You’ve Got” complete with actions.

Well done to all the children who received a certificate in assembly this morning and thank you to the parents and grandparents who came along and supported their child.
