Friday 6th May 2011 – Celebration Assembly

The children walked quietly and smartly into assembly this morning to ‘You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me” by Dusty Springfield.

50 Merits certificates were presented to James, Natasha, Abbie, Dylan, Jamie, Jake, Ellen, Max, Amber, Katie, Izzy and Eve. 100 Merits certificates went to Kacey, Victoria, Georgia, Stanley, Charlotte and Millie. Ella was awarded her 150 Merits certificate.

A Hampshire Schools Swimming Gala certificate was awarded to Natasha, and Swanmore Tag Rugby Festival certificates were awarded to Amy and Jayden. Music certiciates went to Abby, Gemma, Eve, Maria and Chloe M. Worldclass Pupil of the Week was awarded to Lauren.

Reading certificates were given to Christopher, Charlotte and Hollie (10 hours), Christopher, Jennifer and Katie (20 hours), Daisy (50 hours), Lauren and Oakley (80 hours), Josh (100 hours), Katie P and Annabel (130 hours) and Jake (170 hours).  Lower school pen certificates went to Sam, Briony, Ella, Charlotte, Chloe, Jacob, Mia, Fergus, Emily, Brandon, Morgan, Edward, Peter, Katie, Caitlyn, Emily, Josh, Hollie, Lauren, Bradley and Katie (Y4), and Millie, Ben, Amy, Annabel, Josh, Leah, Victoria, Bethany, Mason, Olivia and Jayden (Y3).  Wow Wall certificates were presented to Oakley, Beth, Max, Skye, Leah, Jacob, Lizzie, Tim, Sam, Shania, Fergus, Finley, Jenny, Gemma and Holly.

‘Little Hearts Matter’ have written to George and his group thanking them for the money raised by the recent cookie sale at which they raised £134.99.

Great Plant Hunt Pupil of the Week was awarded to Matthew Blogg. Oakley received a gold star with honours certificate from the English Theatre and Dance Association for his mime work.  He also passed Speech and Drama with distinction.

This week’s Value Award was for creativity.  Our winners were Georgia (Jackalberry), Fergus (Gingko), Finley (Hawthorn), Jacob (Maple), Bella (Redwood), Matthew (Tamarind) and Liam (Eucalyptus) who recieved the cup.

This week’s team merits results: 1st – Pumas (170), 2nd – Lions, 3rd – Tigers and 4th – Leopards.

Congratulations to all the children who received a certificate.  Mrs Marsh finished assembly explaining that next week, Year 5 are on a residential trip to the Isle of Wight and Year 6 have their SATs.  Good luck to all of them!
