Wednesday 26th January 2011 – Year Five Surrealism

In Year Five, we have been learning about surrealist art.  After looking at a range of surrealist artists, we sketched out surrealist jungle scenes using the school ground as an inspiration.  We then painted our scenes, and used cut out pieces of magazine to add additional elements.  Here is some of our work.

For those with access details, more work can be found on our Wizkid site.

  1. These look great! What I really enjoy about surrealist art is that it makes you feel quite extreme things, these made me laugh at the brilliant ideas used to make it surreal!

  3. Thank you! We certainly enjoyed creating these – it was a great outlet for some of our more ‘unusual’ ideas! Tamarind Class – and Redwood Class – what did you most enjoy about this project?
